Artist Details

I was born on the East coast of the United States and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in my early 20s. I was drawn to San Francisco’s accepting attitude and artistic community and have lived in the Bay Area ever since. I have exhibited my work on both the West and East coasts of the United States, three of these being solo shows. My work has been in a number of juried exhibits, received first place awards in many photography competitions and has been included in two published books of photography. I am a member of Photons, a small group of experimental photographers. Being committed to getting art out into the community, I have also curated three group exhibits of photographic art. Photography is a major pathway by which whatever creativity lies within me flows to the surface and takes form. I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating my images and I see a part of myself in each completed work. Whenever viewers tell me a particular work of mine has moved them, I am pleased because, through my art, we have connected.

We all view images through the lenses of our own life histories. As a result, you will likely respond to some of my images differently than I or any other viewer. I encourage you to share with me your reactions to my work.
